We have contacted Warrantech many times for our 1.5-year old Maytag washer appliance, each time they fail to process the service call to the local 3rd party people, Also each call had hold times from 0.5-1.5 hours in varying length! But never less than 30 minutes minimum to hold.
We have figured out the 3rd party and check with them to only find out warrantech did not contact them to proceed for the on-site service call. We eventually got the service call and technician out, but it took over 2 weeks, then we needed parts that needed to be orders, add one more week of dirty clothes...Now the part was installed and the issue arose again. We are working on the next claim and it has been another 2 weeks without any on-site resolution. I believe that the company purposely makes this process difficult to persuade customers to move on and buy another product, which we have already done with our 2 year old dryer.
I believe this company is a scam operation whereby they reduce their costs be making it extremely difficult to enter or submit claims, along with poor coordination and communication to local repair services. They even ask us to use their website for faster service (hear it on hold), but their website has never works in the past 1 year with any current web browsers (Chrome or IE) to attach our policy to their online account.
It see the policy but cannot attach to the account. So you can never use their website to make any claims, hence the high call volumes...how convenient for Warrantech and how awful for the consumers.
