Warrantech - How long does it take to fix a tv?
This is to deter anyone who would consider buying an extended warranty with Warren Tech.. This is also to deter anyone from purchasing a Samsung TV. This is the second Samsung TV that I have purchased in the last 3 years that has broken. $4000.00 dollars later and still no working TV
March of 2010 on a Saturday only having this second Samsung TV for 15 months the screen went black. I was preparing for a UFC party that night. I quickly pulled my warranty papers and called Warren Tech. After 1 hour of holding for a representative a girl got on the phone. I explained the situation and after about another 45minutes of back and forth she finally said she would schedule a Tech to come diagnose the TV.
The first time the Tech was out to my house with no diagnoses done before hand, with parts in hand that Warrant Tech had sent. These parts had nothing to do with fixing the issue. So the waiting and ordering began. The Tech ordered the correct parts and the next time he came which was now 2 months in to the service repair. Warren Tech had sent the incorrect parts. Third time around and another month of waiting they sent the correct parts but the Blue LED was damaged upon delivery. Forth attempt the Blue LED was delivered again damaged. On Friday August 6th after the forth attempt and still a broken TV, I placed a call to Warren Tech for the 5th or so time (I lost count after 5 months). I explained the issue to the representative who answered the call. It has been 5 months since this issue has been reported. It takes 1 month every time a part is ordered. Every time I call I am on hold for 45 minutes plus and now I have taken off work 4 different times to have this fixed. I requested to speak to a supervisor .A supervisor picked up the call 30 minutes later. He stated this has been sent to the upper management and you can call back on Monday to see what the next step is. I explained that every time I call I am on hold for 45 min plus. Can they call me? Yes they will give you a call Monday. Today is Friday 08-13-10 no contact has been made. I am still without a working TV. It has now been 5 months. Maybe they will have a resolution before my 3 years is up!!!!!!
