Purchased a 5 yr. Premium Service Plan on a 50" Samsung Smart TV in 2013.

The remote in was damaged and the Warrantech customer service rep said it was not covered because it was considered "abuse". I was advised to read the terms and conditions that are not in the PSP brochure but on the internet in fine print. Went to the store where I purchased the TV and got the "nothing I can do" response. So, HHGREGG is losing my business, friends, family, anyone reading social media over a TV remote.

Great business decision. BTW-asked for a supervisor to call me back and still waiting on that call.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

hhgregg's alliance with warrantech especially on big appliances is a joke. the service techs that are used are very inefficient with their schedules, unreachable by phone and usually have to make multiple visits at your expense of time and patience if they show up at all.

Choose another extended warranty company if you feel its needed. Total waste of time and money through hhgregg.
